This is a video showing a new technology in generating solar power - thin film solar panels.  Traditional solar panels are built with silicon wafers. Thin film solar panels, however, are basically metal foils coated with micron-thin layers of a special nanoparticle ink that becomes a semiconductor after being heated.  The result is a low-cost solar panel that is already beginning to replace silicon wafer solar panels.  The thin film solar panels featured in this video are products of a Silicon Valley company called 'Nanosolar'.
