Introduction to MEMS

This video from the MEMS Industry Group provides an excellent introduction to micro-electromechanical systems, or MEMS. MEMS is a relatively new technology that combines microscopic mechanical and electronic systems on a single chip, hence the name. Examples of applications that use MEMS technology are micromirrors for optical switching and accelerometers for automotive airbags and wireless gaming input devices.
